Do you feel overwhelmed by the scale of the challenges we’re facing in the world today? It’s hard to deny that, as individuals, we can do little to impact global warming, corruption in politics, growing income disparity and inequality in all of it’s forms. But this article I read recently has shone a little light of possibility – start local, with small groups, and work towards critical mass.
So let’s get started with three local opportunities and ideas:
- Join us at The Dojo! Our friends at The Grove invite you to explore “how we have conversations, matters” after work on Thursday 23 August – more info can be found here
- Talkpoint Men – check out this TEDTalk and get inspired – we’re happy to help connect you to other men in our community so drop me a line if you feel drawn to start your own small group.
- Talkpoint Women – we’re starting a Women’s Circle in September – contact Robyn Katz if you’d like more information.
Talkpoint curates, facilitates and produces connective, peer-to-peer learning experiences designed to #humanisework. We create spaces for conversations that matter, galvanise communities and generate courage to lead wholeheartedly.
We will continue to inform you of opportunities to come together in small groups and roundtables, curated by Talkpoint and other educators and organizers in our network. If you would like to join our mailing list click here.
We welcome your ideas and inquiries and encourage you to share this post with your network.
